It is a project close to all our hearts

We divers know it! Let's make statements together.

Sharks

If they become extinct, the oceans will collapse and with them one of our most important ecosystems.

The ocean

The source of our lives should definitely be treated with more respect.
We should learn to stick to a few rules.

Turtles

The beautiful sea turtles urgently need our protection. It's the least we can do.

Sharkprojekt

Our commitment to shark protection with sharkproject.org

Sharks have been an indispensable part of our oceans for millions of years - as apex predators, they maintain the balance in the ocean and contribute significantly to the health of marine ecosystems. The organization sharkproject.org is committed to protecting sharks worldwide, helping them and preserving their vital environment. In cooperation with research teams, protected areas and educational institutions, Shark Project Team focuses on education, lobbying and sustainable protection measures for these fascinating animals.

  • What you can do:

  1. Avoid shark products - Do not support products that have harmed sharks, such as shark fin soups or oils, to reduce the trade in shark products.
  2. Spreading education and awareness - Share knowledge about sharks in your community, talk about their ecological importance and fight prejudices that portray them as dangerous.

  3. Actively support the Shark Project - Whether through a donation, volunteering or sharing their actions: Any help brings protection and publicity.

  4. Promoting marine protected areas - Support initiatives and policies that create sanctuaries for sharks and protect them from overfishing and habitat loss.

Oceans

Our oceans - vital and worth protecting

The oceans cover over 70 % of the Earth's surface and are the lungs of our planet - they produce more than half of the oxygen we breathe. They regulate the climate, provide habitats for countless species and secure the livelihoods of millions of people. But they are under threat from pollution, overfishing and climate change.

  • What you can do:

    1. Avoid plastic: Use reusable bags, bottles and containers. Every single-use item you avoid counts.

    2. Dispose of waste correctly: Make sure that your waste does not end up in nature or down the drain - otherwise it could end up in the sea.

    3. Save water: Less water consumption protects the environment and reduces the burden on wastewater systems.

    4. Plan trips consciously: Choose more environmentally friendly means of transportation and avoid activities that harm the marine environment.

    5. Sharing knowledge: Talk to family and friends about the importance of healthy oceans - awareness is the first step to change.

Together we can preserve the beauty and diversity of our oceans - for today and for future generations.

Turtles

Our commitment to sea turtles with the Turtle Foundation

The Turtle Foundation is a diverse network of non-profit organizations headquartered in Cologne, Germany, that works internationally to protect endangered sea turtles and their habitats. With operational projects in Indonesia and on Boa Vista (Cape Verde), the foundation protects nesting beaches from poaching, engages local rangers and strengthens the community through environmental education and alternative income opportunities  Thanks to this work, poaching on Boa Vista, for example, has fallen from over 30 % in 2007 to less than 0.2 %.

  • What you can do:

  1. Taking on a symbolic sponsorship - By adopting a turtle, you are specifically supporting conservation measures and monitoring projects.
  2. Support donations & sponsoring associations - Whether an individual donation or membership of Turtle Foundation Friends - every donation promotes environmental education and nature conservation on the ground.

  3. Consider volunteering - If possible, get actively involved as a volunteer in projects such as those on Boa Vista.

  4. Beach cleaning and awareness-raising - Organize or support waste collection campaigns and educate people in your area about the dangers to nesting beaches.

  5. Lobbying and local actions - Get involved politically and in your neighborhood for the protection of coasts, habitats and wild sea turtles.

With every piece of jewelry we sell, we give something back to our oceans and their inhabitants - because the ocean is not only our inspiration, but also a matter close to our hearts.
